How Much Does Spectrum Cost? Spectrum plans offer a different price level depending on contract details. The terms and conditions will list out things like speeds, location, rates, and bundled service packages. For the activation fee, an equipment installation fee of $49.99 applies for professional installation or a price of $9.99 for shipping and self-installation of the free modem for residential customers. However, sales-people may waive these in order to entice a customer to make a purchase. Users can get additional savings on bundle packages most of the time, or take advantage of a limited time Spectrum Internet promotion price. Spectrum Internet also offers a contract buyout program of up to $500 on old contracts when switching to Spectrum (if contract buyout qualifications are met). This is available to qualifying Spectrum plans only. Customers planning to take advantage of this offer must not have any previous outstanding obligations to Charter or Spectrum. Many offers are limited to those who have not utilized or withdrawn from other Spectrum services within the previous 30 days, but also must not have any outstanding obligation to Charter or Spectrum. Spectrum TV customers can expect to see a broadcast surcharge, which is passed on to the customers as local broadcast stations continue to increase their rates. Since Spectrum is a contract-free provider; there is no early termination fee. If users want to leave or change service, they simply need to return any rented equipment required. Spectrum Internet service and wireless data plans have no data allowance meaning that there is unlimited data usage.
